Multiple Auto Showrooms & Service Garages For German Luxury Automaker

JRM Construction Management completed projects at two Mercedes Benz service centers and showrooms in Bayside and Long Island City, New York. The scope of work featured the conversion of an existing storage area into a new showroom, including offices, a library, restrooms, and a conference room.

The design of the new showroom was based on the Autohaus by Mercedes Benz USA and featured porcelain tile flooring, an exposed truss ceiling, and raw sheet metal ductwork, including a raised platform with stainless steel railings.

New large clear-story windows were added to three sides for natural lighting in addition to custom fluorescent light fixtures by Elliptipar and HID track lighting by Lightolier.

JRM also installed a Nextlight fully automated lighting control system for zone control and energy efficiency. Additionally, motion sensors were installed to control the lighting levels at different zones based on the space’s occupancy, further improving the showroom’s energy efficiency.
