Location 706 Madison Ave, New York, NY
Project Size 46,400 SF
JRM Construction Management acted as the construction manager for the $25 Million, 46,400 SF Friedland Properties project. Due to the building’s landmark status, JRM worked hand-in-hand with the City of New York’s Landmarks Preservation Commission as well as working closely with both Page Ayres Cowley Architects and project engineer, Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, to meet the client’s vision and needs. Construction began with the demolition of a two-story brick building. Three separate buildings with limestone and marble trim were then erected on the property complete with a glass railed roof terrace and cast stone balustrades. Double height sidewalk vaults were also constructed. JRM replaced all of the steel framing in the pre-existing building and removed the original columns to open up the floor plate.
