New Ground-Up Theatre Annex For The Shubert Organization

JRM Construction Management completed work on the 20,000 SF, $30 Million construction of the theatre annex building for the Shubert Organization’s James Earl Jones Theatre located at 138 West 48th Street. The new building provides concession space, patron facility upgrades, and dressing rooms for the Broadway performers.

This core and shell construction project involved rock removal, cast in place concrete superstructure, a new elevator, theatre cladding & signage as well as the fit-out of bathrooms, concession areas, and performer dressing rooms.

The annex ties into the existing adjacent theatre on the every level and replaces the existing theatre’s MEP systems and infrastructure.
