Modernization Of Haft Theater Performance Venue For Public University

JRM Construction Management completed a 17,475 SF modernization of the Haft Theater at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City, transforming the historic venue into a more advanced and versatile performance space while preserving its original character.

The renovation included restoration of the wood stage, upgraded dressing rooms and bathrooms, new acoustical door and window treatments, and a modernized HVAC system for improved comfort and performance. JRM also installed a new fire curtain, state-of-the-art AV systems, theatrical rigging, and upgraded theater lighting.

The completed project blends preservation, performance, and modern technology to create an enhanced venue for FIT students, faculty, and the broader community.
