Estiatorio Milos

Location 125 West 55th St, New York, NY

Project Size 25,000 SF

JRM Construction Management completed the construction of a new cellar space for Estiatorio Milos’ catering facility, as well as a full renovation of the existing street-level restaurant at 125 West 55th Street in New York City. JRM worked with Alain Carle Architecte and Henderson Engineers to construct both the cellar space and restaurant without hindering Estiatorio Milos’ daily operations.

JRM coordinated the efforts of the sub-contractors and vendors hired by the restaurant to complete the extensive work. The end result is a refined, elegant space, complete with Venetian plaster throughout, Greek marble floors and bar tops, and elegant Dinesen wood plank flooring from Denmark.

The first-floor renovations featured the construction of a new kitchen, and the installation of new equipment, a new bar, stairs, wood plank flooring, lighting, and high-end finishes throughout. JRM kept the two levels connected by installing a steel and marble spiral staircase with recessed lighting at stair treads as well as a passenger elevator and freight elevator. A complete Lutron System was installed throughout the cellar and first floor.
