High-End Renovation Coordinated Within Fully Operational Luxury Hotel

JRM Construction Management delivered a complex, high-end renovation at the Oceana Santa Monica hotel, transforming the property’s primary dining and bar areas into the new luxury concept, La Monique, while the hotel remained fully operational throughout construction.

Spanning multiple levels within a 70-year-old wood-framed structure, the project included structural upgrades across three floors and precision-engineered openings to enhance connectivity between the host and dining areas. To maintain the schedule and minimize disruption, JRM implemented early procurement strategies and conducted detailed investigative work to verify existing conditions prior to demolition.

The finished space features a collection of bespoke elements, including gold-leafed glass ceilings, custom marquetry straw panels from France, mother-of-pearl mosaic walls, a hand-formed backlit glass bar, and honey onyx stonework. Through careful coordination and expert craftsmanship, JRM delivered a refined dining environment while preserving the guest experience, demonstrating its expertise in executing luxury hospitality build-outs in occupied settings.
