Comprehensive Newsroom & Broadcast Studio Refresh For CBS Miami

JRM Construction Management completed a comprehensive refresh of CBS Miami’s newsroom in Doral, Florida, in collaboration with parent company Paramount, MKDA architects, and AMA Group engineers. The project modernized the space while carefully coordinating all construction activities around the station’s live broadcast schedule, ensuring uninterrupted operations throughout.

The scope included removing existing finishes, making selective wall modifications, and installing new partitions, flooring, and ceiling systems. Key upgrades featured a new news desk, open work areas, ancillary furniture, a copy/print room, and custom millwork at the pantry and support areas. Infrastructure improvements included updated data cabling, structural supports for TV mounts and lighting trusses, and a new air handling system with associated ductwork and controls.

Additional enhancements to lighting, controls, and telecommunications systems resulted in a modern, high-performance newsroom tailored to the fast-paced demands of a 24/7 broadcast environment.
