First U.S. Location For Mexico-Based Sports Apparel Retailer Innovasport

JRM Construction West completed the 7,065 SF build-out of Culto Futbol’s new sporting goods store at 1437 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California. Developed by Mexico-based client Innovasport, this marks the brand’s first retail location in the United States.

As Innovasport’s inaugural U.S. project, JRM played a vital role beyond construction, assisting with coordination between the client and landlord, navigating local building codes and ADA requirements, and guiding international vendors unfamiliar with U.S. construction standards. The store’s build-out included all-new lighting, ductwork, and an IT room with a dedicated split system to support operations. JRM also rebuilt two restrooms to meet current codes and ADA compliance standards, ensuring a modern and accessible retail environment.

This project reflects JRM’s ability to seamlessly support international clients entering new markets, delivering high-quality retail spaces with precision, collaboration, and adaptability.
