Commercial Office Tower Overbuild And Conversion For Tishman Speyer

JRM Construction Management is providing full Pre-Construction and Construction Management Services for a 586,000 SF Commercial Office Building Expansion and Conversion targeting LEED Gold certification. Developed by Tishman Speyer, the Wheeler is located at 181 Livingston Street in Brooklyn, New York. The scope of work includes a portion of the lot having a 300 ft tall commercial office tower and overbuild above the Macy’s original building of 6-stories while maintaining Macy’s normal retail store hours.

A new entrance and lobby are included as well as a new 10-passenger car elevator core and shear wall with a freight car to serve all floors, all new electrical, plumbing, sprinkler and HVAC services throughout the space. An all new curtainwall and window wall combination façade package are being installed and JRM is overseeing the removal and restoration of the 150-year old cast iron façade on the Fulton Street entrance.
