JRM Develops New Life Science Project for Taconic Partners

JRM Construction Management’s 125 West End Ave project for Taconic Partners is part of the city’s recent Life Science boom.

JRM is working on a 348,214 SF, LEED Platinum commercial renovation of the 7-story office building including its basement at 125 West End Avenue for Taconic Partners. The building is being redeveloped as a Life Science building used for research, laboratory, and offices uses. The project includes replacement and upgrades to the base building infrastructure, envelope, and interiors. The building will also feature new amenity spaces throughout including a rooftop area.

The project scope includes a new lobby with modified slab elevation, removal of existing facade and installation of new unitized curtain wall, demo and replacement of core bathrooms, upgraded elevator lobbies, removal and relocation of stair towers, new freight car shafts, elevator modernization, along with loading dock and delivery services upgrades. Additionally, JRM will be repurposing an existing vehicular helix ramp that traverses all floors of the building as well as performing extensive MEPS infrastructure upgrades to the risers, cooling towers, and electrical distribution.
